When we worship the Lord, you may be surprised by how we rise to our feet, clap our hands, and sing songs and choruses that may be new to you. We want to allow the Holy Spirit to work through us as we worship, and we seek to be used by the Holy Spirit through the gifts He has given us as in 1 Corinthians 14. We stand to sing as the Levites did in 2 Chronicles 20:19. We clap our hands as the Psalmist did in Psalms 47:1, we lift our hands as a sign that our hearts are surrendered and open to God.
